I do try to pay attention to what is going on with the readers. I get emails (more often than posts I may add) and I track the traffic. What I see is that there is a lot of interest in learning more about 8 way hand tied furniture.
Of course, I would love fot you to
read what I wrote on the subject for one thing. Additionally, though, I thought it would be a good idea to give a few more 8 way hand tied resources. Again, with furniture, knowledge is power and through it you will be much more likely to have a positive furniture shopping experience.
Here is one article that echoes a lot of the things I said in my post, but it is in a more formal, article format that may be easier for some to read. There is also a little bit of additional information in there that may be helpful.
Here is another link to the discussion I mentioned in the original post. You will see that I did throw in my two cents worth there somewhere, but it is worth seeing what others have to say about it.
Hopefully these links will help you as you research 8 way hand tied. If you ask me, it is just a labor intensive practice that plays on the "they don't make em like they used to" emotion. Get what is comfortable and what you feel good about. Furniture buying is something you do based on feel and your gut (once you have all the information you feel like you need that is).
Hope this helps,
The Furniture Guy
