Whether you are planning to buy discount furniture or high end pieces, you know that The Furniture GUy puts a lot of emphasis on being prepared before you buy. One of my number one rules is measure and plan and measure and plan.
A nice resource I found is this
room planner. It allows you to plan out a room and see how much space you are going to have. This can be a nice first step in planning your purchase. Beyond that, you will need to measure doorways and hallways to make sure furniture can spin, turn, and be walked everywhere it needs to. Then, once in the store, make sure your furniture sales rep helps you with accurate measurements and information that will help you have a smooth delivery.
