There was a time when furniture in the United States was essentially anchored in the state of NOrth Carolina. Today, though, that is more a basis of reputation than actual fact. Furniture, as much as anything else, has become a global industry. While a lot of furniture may come through High Point, nearly as much also comes through the west coast and even different East Coast ports. The result is that furniture is cheaper all over the country. I used to get questions all the time about buying from North Carolina. Can you get a great deal buying in or from North Carolina? Of course you can. However, you can also get a great deal if you shop around in Colorado, Michigan, or Kansas. Discount furniture all over the country is shipped in from China, Russia, and South America. That furniture is less expensive and often of high quality. My advice is that you should shop around wherever you are instead of counting on one state or one location to automatically have the best possible deal.
Hope this Helps,
