When I was working the sales floor and managing a furniture showroom, I saw just how popular rustico furniture is. The only problem is that I also saw how often it was returned. Additionally, every piece is unique. That means that when you buy from a store and get a piece from the warehouse, then it is very likely that your piece will be different than what you see on the showfloor. There will be pieces with splits and warps and bends on some that will not be on others.
Having said all of that, rustico furniture can be a wonderful investment. The cost is low, it lasts a long time since it is made of solid wood, and it offers a timeless look. Additionally, you will find that you do not have to worry about scratching it up or preventing warping in bad weather. Just make sure that you go into your rustico shopping experience with your eyes wide open; know your rustico and you will have better experience.
